How do I make an appointment?

You can schedule an appointment via:

phone: (773)641-1650

text:    (773)641-1650

How long does an appointment take?

On average appointments take 1-2 hours depending on the type of dog and service. Some factors may contribute to longer service times, such as: de-shedding, age, skin condition, temperament, length of coat, size of dog etc.

However, each dog is unique and we give them all the specialized, individual attention they require, until the job is complete and satisfactory.

How often should my dog be groomed?

Generally, dogs should be groomed every 4-6 weeks depending on the breed and their specific situation. Some with specific issues may require more frequent grooming.

Why does using organic and natural products matter?

Choosing organic and natural products are important to your dog's skin and overall health. A dog's skin is its primary defense against allergens, pollutants, irritants, fungus, parasites, viruses and bacterias.

Although, a dog's skin is thicker than a human's, its made up of only 8-10 layers of epidermis, while a human's is made up of 18-20 layers. Less layers of epidermis leaves your loyal companion more susceptible to bacteria and other toxins and germs. This is even more true if toxins and other harmful ingredients from non-natural, non-organic shampoos and products are used. These toxins may strip away your dog's skin and potentially get into his bloodstream, leading to several different skin aliments and possibly more serious health complications.

Paw Chi Spa uses only the finest products on the market. Regular bathing with us ensures several health benefits to your dog. These include: maintain moisture on your dogs skin, help prevent skin related issues, remove dirt, toxins and odor, keep coat nice and soft, reduce shedding, allergens and bacteria not only from your pup's coat but also from you and your house. Regular bathing allows Paw Chi Spa to take a closer look at your dog, checking for any abnormalities. We check the skin, ears, eyes, pads, nose, teeth, nails and for fleas and ticks. * Please note we only check for fleas and ticks and do not treat existing cases. We only offer service as a preventative measure.

Can I watch you groom my pet?

Due to insurance and safety issues it is best if only the groomer and pet are in the vehicle during the grooming session. You and your pet's safety are our number one concern. Your pet may get excited and anxious and move around a lot if he sees you. However, we try our best to understand everyone's needs. Each pup and their owner's situation is unique and for that reason we will make exceptions and would be happy to accommodate any special needs or requests. We would also be more than happy to give you a tour of the salon before the grooming session and welcome any questions or concerns you may have.

What if I have to cancel an appointment?

We ask that you kindly provide a 48 hour notice if you are unable to keep your appointment. This will allow us to re-book and notify someone on the waiting list of an opening.

"A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. They are not dependent on us. We are dependent on them. They are not an interruption in our work. They are the purpose of it. They are not an outsider in our business. They are a part of it. We are not doing them a favor by serving them. They are doing us a favor by giving us an opportunity to do so."
